Statement of Understanding Required For
- MSgt and SMSgt selects with more than 18 years TAFMS by effective date of promotion
- All CMSgt-selects, regardless of TAFMS
Must sign within 10 duty days after selections are confirmed.
Service Commitments
MSgt / SMSgt
Must obtain 2 years of service retainability and incur a 2-year ADSC from the effective date of promotion.
CMSgt
Must acknowledge and obtain 3 years of service retainability and incur a 3-year ADSC from the effective date of promotion.
Failure Consequence
Failure to withdraw an existing retirement application (approved or pending) within 10 duty days from presentation of the Promotion Statement of Understanding will result in removal from the selection list.
