Promotion Score Notices

Purpose
Promotion score notices give Airmen a report of their relative standing in the promotion consideration process.

Privacy Rules

Privacy
An Airman's scores cannot be disclosed without the Airman's written consent.

Notices should never be provided to or used by anyone other than:

  • The individual
  • Their commander

Who Is NOT Authorized

Not authorized access to promotion scores:

  • Commander's support staffs
  • First sergeants
  • Supervisors
  • Etc.

Commander's Specific Duties

The commander has the specific duty to notify Airmen of:

  • Promotion selection results
  • Non-selection results

Commanders may need to review score notices to determine status.

Restriction
Commanders must restrict their use of the scores to notification and advisory counseling on behalf of the Airmen — and must NOT allow further dissemination of scores.

How to Retrieve Your Score Notice

Individuals may retrieve a copy on the virtual military personnel flight (vMPF) after the initial promotion selection for the current cycle.
