Administration
Promotion tests are administered electronically to all Airmen competing for promotion to Staff Sergeant through Technical Sergeant.
Standardization
Test administration procedures are standardized to ensure fairness for all members competing for promotion.
Scoring
All promotion tests are electronically scored at HQ AETC SAS following thorough quality control steps.
Paper copy exception: When paper copies are administered, strict procedures are used for handling, storing, and transmitting test booklets and answer sheets. Must be approved by AFPC. Scanning/scoring conducted at AFPC.
Test Score Minimums
PFE
Minimum score: 40 points
SKT
Minimum score: 40 points
Combined
Minimum combined score: 90 points
Combined Score Math
Airmen who score the minimum 40 points on either exam (when taking both) must score a minimum of 50 on the other to meet the combined 90.
PFE Only
Members testing PFE only must score a minimum of 45 (combined score of 90 when doubled).
